Cannon presented the status of our budget and the
treasurer’s report as follows:
Administrative Account: $785 Activities Account: $865
Don discussed the shifts for the MSU at the Blues Festival on Sunday, July 6.
Kent Wong, who recently resigned, will be replaced by Frank Gorshe, as a 2 year director for the coming year.
There was a discussion of our final meeting to be held at the Old Country Kitchen.
Clyde reported that the problems at the Raphael House have not been resolved yet, so there will be no more work parties for now.
Colan plans to have a meeting with the Cascade Lions, regarding the Brew Sake event planned for the third week of October at the same location as last year.
A motion was passed to keep our dues at $80 for the coming year.
Frank read a letter from Kathy Phelps of the District O Youth Exchange Committee asking for volunteers to host a total of 30 students during the summer.
Colan discussed our proposed August garage sale in Vancouver and has met with Barbara Bell. Clyde’s business is no longer available as a storage location, and the items will be moved to Stan’s garage for now.
The meeting adjourned at 8:27pm.

Due
Our new year (2008/2009) starts July 1st. The Board at the last meeting voted
to keep the dues at $80, the same as last year. Please remit your dues (payable
to the Portland Bentham Lions) in the amount of $80 as soon as possible to:

issue. I have been doing it for over a decade, so it is time for a change. I
